ابزار ts_test برای آزمایش دستی \fBtslib\fR با استفاده از ts_read() به کار می‌رود. این برنامه یک نشانه‌گیر (crosshair) و دکمه‌های حالت را روی فریم‌بافر (framebuffer) رسم می‌کند و به شما امکان می‌دهد رفتار نمونه‌های ورودی را با اعمال فیلترهای پیکربندی‌شده بیازمایید؛ ts.conf (5) را ببینید. از آنجا که این برنامه از ts_read() استفاده می‌کند، تنها از لمس تکی (single touch) پشتیبانی می‌کند.
