یک دیمون لینوکس است که برای بهینه‌سازی مصرف انرژی در سیستم‌های ترکیبی (hybrid) اینتل استفاده می‌شود.
این دیمون از یک فایل پیکربندی به نام
.B intel_lpmd_config.xml
استفاده می‌کند.
بر اساس این پیکربندی، دیمون مجموعه مناسبی از پردازنده‌ها (CPUها) را برای فعال‌سازی انتخاب می‌کند. به عنوان مثال، این دیمون می‌تواند میزان استفاده از سیستم را پایش کرده و مجموعه‌ای از پردازنده‌های کم‌مصرف را فعال و بقیه را غیرفعال کند.
این فعال‌سازی و غیرفعال‌سازی پردازنده‌ها با استفاده از قابلیت

لینوکس و درایور

انجام می‌شود.
